Legal & Governance Disclaimer

The International Governance Standards Board (IGSB) publishes governance standards, assessment criteria, and certification framework information for transparency, comparability, and assurance purposes. All materials are intended to support governance understanding and evaluation and do not constitute legal, regulatory, financial, or professional advice.

IGSB does not endorse individual organisations, products, services, technologies, or management approaches. Certification outcomes reflect conformity assessment against published criteria and defined scope at a specific point in time and should not be interpreted as guarantees of performance, compliance with all applicable laws, or suitability for any particular purpose.

Certification activities are conducted in accordance with documented governance, independence, and decision-making controls designed to preserve impartiality and consistency. Assessment, decision, and enforcement functions are separated, and conflicts of interest are identified, managed, and mitigated through formal procedures.

IGSB standards and certification frameworks are designed to be jurisdiction-neutral and may be applied across sectors and regions. Organisations remain responsible for determining and complying with all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations within their operating jurisdictions.

Use of IGSB publications, certification references, or marks must be in accordance with published terms, scope limitations, and usage conditions. Misrepresentation of certification status or scope may result in corrective action, suspension, or withdrawal.
